Kostroma

Kostroma is one of the old Russian towns, administrative, cultural and industrial centre of Kostromskoi region. It is situated 330 km in the north east of Moscow and on the banks of Volga. General land is in the city feature – 144,5 km². The population is 273 500 people. Kostroma is an important transport centre. There is a federal driveway Мoscow-Yaroslavl- Kirov-Perm-Ekatherinburg. There is also a port and airport.
